The Medicare Class of 2018–along with faculty members Dr. Rajul Patel, Dr. Carly Ranson, Dr. Ed Rogan, Dr. Mark Walberg, and Dr. Matt Cheung–pose in their classic grey Medicare polos outside of the PHS lawn. Medicare is an elective unique to the University of the Pacific which requires students to dedicate one semester to learning how Medicare works while also preparing for upcoming Medicare health fairs in the second semester. Students are able to utilize the knowledge gained during the spring semester to help Medicare beneficiaries in MTM and determining the most ideal Medicare Part D plan over the course of 14 health fairs held during the fall semester of their second year.
